Delft is back!
It is time to welcome you again in our beautiful city of Delft!
And do not worry, our precious has not changed! Boat tours, markets, museums, all the traditional activities in the city are open and ready to welcome you.
But safety first!
The required 1.5 meter distance is being applied where suitable, together with some floor signage in town.
Have no doubt, book your trip to Delft and we see you there!
On Thursdays, enjoy the general market on the Market Square (“de Markt’’) between the New Church and the City Hall, and the Flower Market on Brabantse Turfmarkt, right nearby.
Not in Delft on Thursdays? Don’t worry, a smaller version of the market takes place on Saturdays on Brabantse Turfmarkt.
Last but not least, on Saturdays from May to October the antiques market attracts good deal hunters for some typical Delft hidden treasures.
For the museums, make sure to buy your ticket online and for a special day and time, as no ticket are being sold at their counters.
All museums have their own detailed policy, but all accept only a certain number of people inside at the same time to ensure visitors’ safety.
For the Vermeer museum, make sure to send them an email after booking, with the date, time and number of persons part of your booking.
The same applies for the Old and New Churches.
As a reminder, inside the Old Church (“Oude Kerk”) you can find the gravestones of the famous pain Johannes Vermeer but also the one of the microscope’s inventor, Antoni van Leeuwenhoek.
In the New Church, the Orange-Nassau Royal Family of the Netherlands is buried, in a rigorously organized crypt.
For the time being, note that opening hours of museums and churches may slightly change, so make sure to check on their website before your visit.
